A successful House 2 Home service day in Carbon Canyon

I wanted to personally thank Larry, Hildy and Eric for giving time to help a family of CCV with getting their house transformed into a home.  We showed up at the project with about 10 other volunteers from CCV at 9am on Saturday morning and got working right away.  While Larry and Hildy helped prep and paint the living room  Eric was in the master bedroom helping to figure out the structural issue behind a sagging floor.  I was getting one of the bedrooms ready for laying down laminate wood flooring.  After the painting was done Larry and Hildy moved right into the bathroom to start laying the new floor being put in there.  Larry and Hildy had to leave mid afternoon so Eric jumped right in to finish up the bathroom floor which came out really nice.  Eric showed much patience in working in a small space with no room for error since he had a limited amount of material to finish up the floor.  I do have to say I was quite impressed with how perfect that bathroom floor came out .  Good job, Eric, Larry and Hildy.  When Eric and myself left the project at 4:30 after a long day of hard work by all CCV volunteers we finished up flooring in two bedrooms, one bathroom and all of the texturing and painting of the living room/kitchen and got the master bedroom ready for the new sub floor.

CCV House 2 Home ministry surprised the family with bunk beds for each of the bedrooms so the kids could sleep on real beds again instead of sleeping bags on the floor.  House 2 Home is a great ministry at CCV that is really doing the Lords work on providing much needed help to the community around our church.   Great job CCV and Maranatha Life Group.
