Two more service opportunities are just around the corner. First is the monthly Bumper Bag Weekend where you can bless single moms and the unemployed with food stuffs and other staples to help them through another month. Every month CCV gives us specific item(s) that we can focus on bringing besides the usual canned goods and other foods staples we are providing . This month they are asking for baked goods. Lets get behind this monthly service opportunity and show support for it through the sacrificial giving from the members of the Maranatha Life Group.
The other awesome opportunity is near and dear to Beckie and Duane's heart. That is Bee a Blessing. On October 1st, this ministry is planning on spoiling hundreds of Single Moms and Moms-in-Need with a day of massages, new hairdo's, make up, manicures and then beautiful photos to document the transformations. As Beckie shared with us on Sunday morning we can be involved in a couple of ways. The first is by donating new women clothes, sizes 8-20 or woman's shoes sizes 8-11. The money we collected on Sunday will also be going to purchase some items to be given away. You can also volunteer your time on October 1st between 7:30 am to 3pm to make this day special for all of the ladies that have been invited to be blessed. These moms are in positions that they would rather not be in but for reasons we don't know they are there living this life everyday. Lets make them forget about all of that for the day and really Bee a Blessing in their lives. For more information contact Beckie at the church office or email her.
