Our group will meet for the first time September 11 for breakfast

Hi everyone, I know I have slacked off on this web blog for the last year or so but I am back and excited about growing our group bigger and closer. We have many things planned for the new year but you have to come to breakfast to help us plan activities and what service project we are going to do as a group. Keep the morning of September 11, 2011 open so you can plan on joining us. Once I find out where and when I will post the information on this blog and also an email will go out. I look forward to seeing everyone again.

Thank you for joining us for this Online Discussion (Blog) from a the Maranatha Life Group at Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) in San Dimas California. Our former sunday school class was known as The Bereans and we just recently renamed our group Maranatha Life Group. Which simply means "the Lord is coming soon"

We are a group of believers that are in the 45 to 60 year range. We have both married couples and unmarried singles as a part of our group. Most of us have grown adult kids and some even have grandkids. The strength of our group is our love for each other and the support we provide to each other through prayer. We love to laugh and have fun together as a group. This year we are going to put a strong emphasis on serving our community and our church as a life group together.

We meet at Life Pacific College Room 117 at 10:00 AM every Sunday from September to June. Please plan on joining us any Sunday and see if we are the life group for you.

Meet our Faciltators

John Vander Wende
John has been a Christian and a faithful member of CCV for over 30 years. John has served in many ministries here at CCV but his true gift is teaching Gods word to adults. He has been teaching this group of believers for over 12 years. John and Leah have been married over 30 years and have 3 adult children and one grand daughter.

Larry Magallanes

Larry has been a Christian for almost 30 years and has served on church boards and also has served as Elder and a Deacon. Larry in the past has taught Sunday School for various groups for many years and has been very involved in sports ministry for much of his Christian walk. He has also served as President of the Church Athletic Association. Larry and his wife Hildy have been married for 29 years and have 2 adult children. They have called CCV their home for the last 5 years.
